The company was established in 1997 by Kristjon Bergmundsson and John R Fish Sales Ltd. Its main aim is to improve the services provided for fish distributors and vessels landing in Grimsby. Premier Fish Handling introduced the first electronic grading system on the fish market and its subsidiary company PFH (HULL) LTD took over all fish handling on the Hull market. We pride ourselves on experienced and reliable staff and most of them have been with the Company from day one, being the key to our success, handling with care up to 25.000 tonnes of fish per year.
In 2003 we acquired Hudson Fish Services in order to extend our services and to secure the infrastructure in box collection and box hire services in the UK.
We operate a fish box hire, collection and washing service throughout the UK. We supply boxes and skips to the Scottish and English fleet and to fish markets and processors. We run two box washing depots, one on the fish docks in Grimsby and one at the prestigious Fishgate in Hull. We collect boxes for our overseas customers, from locations throughout the UK, which they can collect clean from either our Hull or Grimsby depots. We can also organise further transport, if required.
